Here Comes Day 2

Well today had some improvements in terms of food choices but also some failures. Right now while I am journaling I am trying to make better choices but my main focus is to see what food trends I notice, what times of the day I eat the most, etc. I basically want to become more aware of my eating habits. So here goes day 2.

Breakfast-
1 Lender's berry bagel w/reduced fat cream cheese
1 Yoplait whips yogurt
1 Glass skim milk w/ a small squeeze of choc. syrup for taste

Lunch-
1 Sandwich w/ 2 slices ham, 1 slice american cheese, 2tsps mayo, lettuce, tomato
1+ Serving of tortilla chips w/pineapple salsa
7-8 Strawberries with lite cool whip
1 Glass Iced Tea (w/sugar)

Dinner (my big downfall!)- We were supposed to cook on the grill but w/the storm we decided to go to Chevy's because kids eat free on Tuesdays

Chips w/salsa (not sure of the serving size)
Steak Tostada Salad w/guacamole, and sour cream (I ate about 2/3 of the shell too)
My drink here was water w/lemon!

Snack-
4 Reduced fat oreos
1 Glass sweet iced tea


So I feel the guiltiest about dinner. I know I shouldn't have had both the shell and the chips and salsa but I am a carb freak!!! I will say that I had about 7 8oz glasses of water today so that is a BIG improvement from yesterday. Another thing that explains some of my odd cravings and desires is my monthly friend decided to pay a visit this morning. I'm not sure about anyone else but for some reason that time always makes me so hungry!!

For working out today again I didn't do a ton as the weather has been horrible and I am just not a heat person. I would much rather run in the cold than the heat. I did jump around the house for over an hour playing with my 2yr old and I ran through the sprinkler a few times with her. I wanted it to be more but my little priss decided that she didn't like getting her feet dirty with grass and just wanted to play at her water table.

Let's see what tomorrow brings in terms of new food and new guilt...

  1. Eating out is so my biggest challenge. I with out a doubt always get water to drink but is seems like as far as being healthy that is where my good choices stop. I haven been trying to look up the nutritional facts for certain restaurants if I know that is where I am going so I can try and pick the healthiest thing but that doesnt always happen.
